Aerospace-grade 6061 T6 aluminum body, heat hardened[1]

Most of the frame is covered by Patent US 2006/0266570 A1[2] to David Roth, Lawrence Diener, David R. Goetz. It includes novel elements such as 1) motor directly driving sidewalls of wheels, 2) use of two motors, 3) "tachometer" optical encoder attached directly to motor, 4) shock absorbers, 5) general shape.
